Health professionals

As well as supporting and taking referrals from Carers themselves, we also work closely with a wide range of professionals. You can easily refer to us via our online form and we have Carer Support Workers based in both acute hospitals as well as Community Mental Health Teams. We run certification and awards for professionals working with Carers and are happy to discuss Carer Awareness training and how we can best work with your organisation.

    Who are carers?

The term 'Carer' can often be confusing. We use it in terms of someone who provides support for a relative or friend who has a disability, long-term illness or other additional needs. Sometimes the term 'Carer' can get mixed up for those who work for care agencies and care homes.
