Other ways to support us

There are many ways in which you can support us. Yes financial donations or fundraising are crucial however we appreciate that this can be difficult, especially for Carers themselves. There are countless other ways that you can support the work we do, many of which wont cost you a penny.

Amazon Smile

If you shop on Amazon, you can donate whilst you do so and it won't cost you any extra. Amazon donates 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of eligible purchases to the charitable organisation of your choice - simply shop via smile.amazon.co.uk and select Northamptonshire Carers as your chosen charity.

  • Log in to your Amazon account and search Northamptonshire Carers in the ‘pick your own charity’ search bar
  • You’ll receive an email from Amazon and you’re ready to shop as normal
  • You get the same prizes as normal Amazon but 0.5% will be donated to support Carers & Young Carers with no added cost.

Give As You Live

Give as you Live is an online fundraising platform that allows you to raise money for your favourite charity, just by shopping online. When you shop at one of  4,400+  stores via the Give as you Live website, a donation is made but you pay the normal price so no cost to you.

  • Simply click here and sign up
  • Search for your favourite stores
  • Click the ‘shop & raise’ button
  • You'll be redirected to the store’s website where you can shop as normal
    • Give as You Live works through commissions from retailers so donations vary and Give as You Live do take a cut.

    Other options

    • Leave a legacy
    • Volunteer
    • Buy a Corby Lottery Ticket although please gamble responsibly
    • Corporate partnership
    • Get involved during Carers Week
    • Simply following us in social media and spreading the word
    • Charity Gift Vouchers can be given as a present

      Who are carers?

The term 'Carer' can often be confusing. We use it in terms of someone who provides support for a relative or friend who has a disability, long-term illness or other additional needs. Sometimes the term 'Carer' can get mixed up for those who work for care agencies and care homes.
