At Northamptonshire Carers, we know that Carers do a vital job. Our Carer Awards help raise the profile of unpaid Carers, and raise awareness of the amazing work that they do, often in extremely challenging circumstances. Last year, 2022, the awards were a great success and we were absolutely thrilled that so many people put forward nominations. Whilst we cannot award all of the nominees, we believe that all Carers are winners and the work they do for others is extremely valuable. Mark Major, Chief Executive Officer of Northamptonshire Carers discussing the 2019 ceremony. 2020 has been a difficult year for all of us but especially carers. Coronavirus and the subsequent lock-down has affected carers more than most with many emotional calls to our Carers Support Line. Examples include, shielding alongside a loved one in an at risk group, shortages of essential food and supplies, financial difficulties and any respite being put on hold. The Carers Awards will be presented in a ceremony at Moulton Community Centre on Thursday 28th September. We will also be presenting Investor In Carers Accreditations to GP surgeries and employers who have demonstrated a Silver+ commitment to support Carers. To nominate, simply click the button below.
