What is a Carer Ambassador?

A Carer Ambassador is a new key role to unite our communities with the support that Northamptonshire Carers can offer. We want to help the caring people in our community who look after others without payment, who do it out of duty and love.  At Northamptonshire Carers we call them our Unpaid Carers.

The Event and our Speakers on the Day

At the Event you will hear from Mark Major, our Chief Executive, and Sally Jones, our Chair of Trustees, as well as Delia Gordon, our Carers Lead who is shortlisted for the Inspiring Diversity and Inclusion Lead Award, BAME Health and Care Awards 2023.  More speakers will be finalised closer to the date.  We cannot help everyone on our own and Mark would like to hear from you and your proposals of what you may need to be a successful Carer Ambassador.

This is a time for our Chief Executive to tell you about what it means to be a Carer Ambassador and an opportunity for us to hear about what you are doing for your community.  If you would like to get more help for those caring people who are doing so much, Ambassadorship could be for you.

A Cultural Buffet

The event begins at 1pm with a free buffet lunch of Southeast Asian, Halal, Caribbean and African Cuisine.  This will also be a relaxed time to talk and meet others.  We will follow lunch with presentations and speakers.

This is a NEW Trailblazing idea.

Northamptonshire Carers is one of only three organisations in the country to be awarded with Silver Trailblazer status for our work to make a meaningful impact on tackling race inequality within our organisation.

This is your opportunity to get involved with our Trailblazing organisation to make impactful change within your community.  We want to help you to help others.
