Safeguarding is a term that describes keeping someone safe who needs extra support doing so themselves - this can include a child or an adult with additional needs.

Our  “Be Safe, Stay Safe” quick guide to safeguarding adults forms part of our Wellbeing Workshops programme and can be downloaded below.

Carers may be the first people to spot the signs of abuse or neglect and can find it difficult to know where to turn. If someone is in immediate danger or a crime has been committed then the police can be called otherwise Northamptonshire County Council Adult & Child Safeguarding Teams can be called on 0300 126 1000.
