Our Breathing Space project is for people with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) & their unpaid carers

It is an opportunity to find friendship, exercise, fun activities, and individual clinical advice. It is also a chance of taking back control of your life and can help reduce isolation, stress & anxiety.

Our Northampton group meets fortnightly on a Tuesday 11am - 2 pm - light lunch provided

The Kettering Evening Carers Group meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month between 7pm and 9pm

Northampton Lunch Club meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month between 12 noon and 2pm Informal gathering, all welcome
Long Covid Support, Online meeting

Group designed for people with Long Covid and it's associated symptoms. The Long Covid Support (LCS) group meets on 2nd Wednesday of the month. In person and on line. Registration must be completed prior to attending the group.
Breathing Space Northampton

Group designed for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and their unpaid Carers, meet on the 2nd Wed and 4th Tue of the month. Registration must be completed prior to attending the group. This is to ensure the right support group is offered and medical details are logged in order to access consultations with the doctor.

Who are carers?

Anyone, including children and adults, who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. The care they give is unpaid

Support line

Our Carers Support Line provides a confidential service to support the needs of Adult and Young Carers, including Parent Carers. The service can be accessed by Carers, professionals or anyone with a Carer related enquiry or issue.
Role of ROCKET and RESTART

Respiratory Therapy Acute Response Team (RESTART) is a team of nurses and physiotherapists who provide care for patients with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). They support early discharge of patients with COPD and also run the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme.
