Northamptonshire Carers is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and acts in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (2018). Under this legislation your personal information will be treated as confidential, kept safe and secure, used fairly and lawfully and not kept for longer than is necessary.

Online donations, direct debits and Friends of Northamptonshire Carers memberships.
1. Northamptonshire Carers is a registered charity (No. 1061417).
2. Data is held in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018
3. By donating you are agreeing for payment details (bank details or debit/credit card details) being entered onto Northamptonshire Carers’s website and our partners Go Cardless & Stripe
4. Once entered, bank details are no longer accessible by Northamptonshire Carers.
5. Donations will be used by details will be processed securely through our website and our partners Go Cardless & Stripe for charitable purposes as per our ‘Fundraising Promise’
6. Northamptonshire Carers also hold the name and addresses of Friends of Northamptonshire Carers along with email addresses (optional). This is so we can process payment.
7. We will always store your personal details securely. We’ll use them to provide the service that you have requested, and communicate with you in the way(s) that you have agreed to. Your data may also be used for analysis purposes, to help us provide the best service possible. 8. Friends of Northamptonshire Carers membership automatically renews at your current rate/frequency if paid via direct debit and you are free to cancel at any time without penalty. Should you pay a one-off annual amount, we will send you a reminder to renew towards the end of you annual membership.

Online Referrals & Carers Assessments
1. By registering my details with Northamptonshire Carers, a confidential computer record will be created. This will be kept securely as per the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR, 2018).
2. If I have provided any information about someone else (i.e. the person(s) I care for), I will ensure that they are advised about this.
3. I understand that Northamptonshire Carers complete Carers Assessments on behalf of Northamptonshire County Council so Carers Assessments and Support Plans are shared securely between these organisations in order to deliver this statutory service.
4. My information will only be shared with other parties with my consent. For example if I agree to be referred to other organisations to provide support.
5. An exception to this would be if Northamptonshire Carers need to report a risk to myself or others whereby Northamptonshire Carers are duty-bound to follow safeguarding policies.
6. If I have completed a Carers Assessment I agree that the information I have provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge.
7. Copies of any Carers Assessment or Support Plan will be sent to me. I understand that I can also access a copy of my records held by Northamptonshire Carers. To request this or to discuss confidentiality further, I can contact Northamptonshire Carers' Data Protection Officer.
