Carers consultation Expand Organisations such as the County Council or NHS ask for the feedback from Carers or the people they care for as part of a consultation. We will post details here as they are announced. If you are interested in such consultations, then Healthwatch are a useful organisation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Northamptonshire Carers Partnership are seeking Carers Perspective to inform and co-produce a county-wide ‘Northamptonshire All Ages Carers Support Strategy 2022-2025’. If you are an unpaid family carer, of any age, caring for someone who relies on your support - Your Own Needs and Wants are of Utmost Importance to Us Please tell us about what you see as the priorities for you; what support you need; how best you can access that support and anything else you feel should be provided to continue in your caring role. This survey closes on Friday, 29th April 2022 and we will be producing the forward plans over the Summer to consult again on the Draft Strategy in the Autumn, before finalising. Link to Survey
Carers partnership Expand The Carers Partnership is a network for anyone who provides a service for Carers in Northamptonshire, both statutory and voluntary sector organisations or anyone with an interest in Carers, including Carers and former-Carers themselves. Members include Age UK, Alzheimer’s Society, Carers Trust East Midlands, Nene Valley Community Action, Family Support Link, Serve, Northamptonshire County Council, NHS and Hospital representation, Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust and others as well as ourselves. We meet on a monthly basis at our offices, chaired by our CEO. One of our main aims is to monitor the progress of the County Council Carers Strategy and it's action plan as well as looking at service provision in general to see how we can best serve the Carers of Northamptonshire. Parent Carers forum Expand Northants Parent Forum Group (NPFG) The NPFG enables parents looking after children with additional needs to get involved in service planning and decision making so that services meet the needs of families and resources are not wasted on services which parents and families do not take up. Meetings are arranged in Northamptonshire or parent support groups visited to discuss issues around service provision and implementation. Please contact them directly for further details.
Patients opinion Expand Patient Opinion An independent organisation called Patient Opinion runs a national website where service users and Carers can post stories, comments, feedback and compliments about health services. Please help shape services by leaving your comments, good and bad. Although this is a national website the feedback goes to the local health service provider.
