On the 3^rd of August 2022 the Northamptonshire Young Carers Service held their annual Family Fun Day!

 

The day was funded by Greencore and held at Fernie Fields in Northampton.  The day was very well supported by Sports4Fitness CIC who provided a range of sport activities and a sensory area.

 

We were very grateful to have had support from a number of organisations on the day including:

 

Northamptonshire Police who bought a van and were signing people up to their local Neighbourhood Policing Team alerts,

 

The United African Association who provided drumming performances and sessions,

 

Garden Organics who provided a range of activities including making lavender pouches, planting seeds, and goody bags

 

And the Edwards family who provided a tombola!

 

We also had glitter tattoos, rock painting, and cake/biscuit decorating run by the Young Carers Team.

 

We had some challenging weather on the day, but this did not put anyone off and we had an amazing 190 people turn up!  This included young carers and their families.
