Mawsley, Carers Drop In

Support for Carers living in and around the Mawsley area, meet one of our National Lottery Workers or 'Carer Champion'. Their main role is getting out into the community to identify hard to reach Carers.

We are able to give emotional support, information, advice, guidance and an insight as to the services that are available for Carers in the county and Carers Assessments.

We will be in Mawsley Community Centre on the 4th Wednesday of the month between 1pm and 2.30pm, all welcome so please come along and see what support is available to Carers in the county, further details can be obtained by calling the office on:

Monthly Fishing Group Carers on the 2nd Wednesday of the month We even have equipment to borrow if you want to give it a go for the first time.

Group for People with Diabetes, 1st Tuesday of the month between 10am and 1pm to learn more and get involved

COPD Empowerment Course (CEC)

A 4 week course for those newly diagnosed with COPD or frequently accessing primary or secondary care. Registration must be completed prior to attending groups. Who are carers?

Anyone, including children and adults, who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. The care they give is unpaid

Support line

Our Carers Support Line provides a confidential service to support the needs of Adult and Young Carers, including Parent Carers. The service can be accessed by Carers, professionals or anyone with a Carer related enquiry or issue.
Role of ROCKET and RESTART

Respiratory Therapy Acute Response Team (RESTART) is a team of nurses and physiotherapists who provide care for patients with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). They support early discharge of patients with COPD and also run the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme.
