We’re very excited to let you know that we have been selected again this year to participate in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2019, the UK’s largest match funding campaign. Last year, thanks to generous supporters like you the campaign raised over £13 million for participating charities.

We will be raising money for our Young Carers Activity Fund. Donations to this project will be matched for 7 days from 12 noon on 3rd December, #GivingTuesday. One donation, twice the impact.

Donations have to be via The Big Give website so please click on the button below:

What happens during the Christmas Challenge?
Donations made to our Young Carers Activity Fund via theBigGive.org.uk will be doubled during the campaign. If you would consider supporting our work this year, we highly recommend doing so during the Christmas Challenge when your donation will be doubled and make even more of an impact to us.

Young Carers Activities that Need Your Support

Social Activities

We recognise that it can be difficult to get out and socialise as a young person who cares. By offering social activities throughout the calendar year we try to reach as many Young Carers as possible and ensure that they are not missing out on opportunities to try new things, meet others in a similar situation to themselves and just get a break!

The events are often in the school holidays and promoted to registered Young Carers via invite or on our social media pages. The social activities are a chance to try something young carers may not get a chance to do with their families. We rely on individual funding for many of our groups, so the number of activities available will vary.

Young Carer Groups

The Young Carers Service offers groups at different locations around the county so as to reach as many of you as possible.  These are generally in term time and are an opportunity to meet and spend time with other young carers. From time to time we organise groups with a particular theme these have included drama, music, personal safety/Protective Behaviours, and health and wellbeing.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Finally, please pass on this message to anyone who you think might be interested in supporting us and having their donation doubled.
