Northamptonshire Carers is a local charity which next year celebrates it is 30th anniversary. We provide a range of services to unpaid carers and those with care needs. We are a trusted service provider and flexible employer. You will be joining a creative and supportive team.

We are currently recruiting an Activity Coordinator. This is an exciting new post that allows the right candidate to shape and develop a new service.

The post of Activity Coordinator involves planning and delivery of sport and leisure activities for unpaid carers and their families. This includes the provision of activities for children with special needs, their siblings and parents/carers. The post holder will be able to recruit, coordinate and support volunteers and coaches to deliver a network of support and leisure activities across Northamptonshire. This new service will need to be developed so the post holder will have experience building new services and applying for funding.

The Activity Coordinator will also relaunch our popular Carers Gym Membership service following the coronavirus pandemic closure so will have skills to liaise with leisure centres across the county.

As the primary beneficiaries of this service will be children with special needs and their parents/carers, many activities will need to be delivered at weekends and evenings.

This is a new post that builds upon recent successful funding bids that the Activity Coordinator will be able to develop and grow into a valued and sustainable service beyond children with special needs into other client groups locally.
